Jobing Description
The proven ability to maintain 90% occupancy

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Regional Behavioral Health Authorities, Arizona Department of Economic Security, Maricopa County and other county Juvenile Court Centers, Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, and the Arizona Department of Education. Will be able to demonstrate the ability to network and build community relations with these agencies as well as the Private Insurance sector.

Demonstrate knowledge the confidentiality laws of the state of Arizona as they effect children.

Ability to gain a working knowledge of The New Foundation and its abilities as a therapeutic environment and have a willingness to become involved in the daily milieu activities.

Ability to conduct psychosocial histories, interpret psychiatric, psychological, and psycho-educational evaluations, using professional writing skills, as well as possess knowledge of general theories and therapy practices.

Ability to establish professional working relationship’s with other members of the Children’s Behavioral Health System and to promote The New Foundation as a positive member of that system. To assess what the community needs are and to coordinate sharing that information with other members of The New Foundation.

Ability to communicate with the billing departments of the referral agencies to ensure that they have necessary information to prepare and complete billing efficiently.

Ability to work closely with the Programs Coordinator, Clinical Director, Nursing, and Unit Coordinator to ensure that the client’s needs are met upon admission including the necessary documentation.

Demonstrate the willingness to work under times of extreme stress in a highly charged, human environment.

Skills / Requirements
A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or closely related field and a minimum of two years experience in residential treatment, psychiatric hospital or closely related field working with children and adolescents.

Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners at the Master’s Level

Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Public Safety.
