Overview: This position assists with a variety of Materials Management department work. Assists with receiving and storage, fills requisitions and transports goods and equipment throughout the facility. May be assigned to a variety of tasks, including:Assist with filling supply and equipment requisitions, Pick up and decontaminate patient equipment ,Issue and receive supplies, completing appropriate documents and making data entries into the Materials Management Inventory System. Provides customer service to Materials Management customers, assists hospital staff customers with supply inquiries and needs as assigned. Evening shift hours 3:0pm-11:30pm Responsibilities: Provides exceptional customer service through all daily interactions with both external and internal departmental contactsFills supplies and equipment requisitions from other departments and coordinates delivery of those items. Collects and disinfects patient care equipment, carts and all other reusable items returned to Materials Management. Processes returns and credits from patient care departmentsParticipates in equipment setup and identifies both equipment in need of repair and preventative maintenance.Assists in accurately restocking specialty and code carts that are returned to Materials Management after use. Ensures any reusable items missing are either returned or documented on a charge slip so the floor can be charged for replacementParticipates in daily shift change proceduresParticipates to ensure a clutter free environment to include all patient care areas and Materials Management

Skills / Requirements
Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills at a level normally evidenced by a high school diploma.Must have basic keyboarding and data entry ability. Must have demonstrated effective customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment is preferred.Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
