Description: As a Case Worker for the Office of Homeownership Preservation, You will report to the OHP Case Manager and operate under general supervision as part of the CitiFinancial Mortgage Company Real Estate Team. You will be responsible for various customer services, client/vendor relationship activities and assist in the operational controls of multi assigned portfolios of real estate customers. You will serve as one of the primary points of service contact for each client within the homeownership preservation community of non-profit organizations and government agencies. Daily activities will include but are not limited to the following: Servicing all inbound calls and may call a variety of loans in default, fax inquiries, and e-mails from councilors and customers, Log Referrals in Centralized Database, Distribute to appropriate departments for follow up to insure proper handling, monitor, and report all results and success rates, research and resolution of customers inquires, preparing and collecting account documentation from customers. You will also be expected to work independently but escalate more complex issues as appropriately necessary to resolve requests in a timely manner. You will be expected to have generally knowledge of and adhere to all CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial Mortgage Real Estate procedures. Additionally, you must be able to identify products and services that may benefit customers and help them maintain homeownership. You will also have responsibility for some administrative functions such as coordinating letter campaigns, assist in developing presentations, assist in organizing Foreclosure Outreach Events and attend these events whenever necessary. You must be familiar with loan originations, foreclosure laws and timelines, bankruptcy proceedings, loss mitigation, and collections. You must possess strong organization skills, effective oral and written communication skills and solid knowledge of mortgage servicing. No relocation assistance is available. Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required •Desire self-starter with detail oriented and analytical skills • Able to work in a fast paced environment • 2-3 years mortgage industry experience preferred • Loss Mitigation Experience is preferred but not required. • Must have excellent grammar, spelling, word processing and basic math skills • PC skills required, including MS Office Suite • Excellent communication skills required • Excellent organization skills required • Expertise in filing and organizing records • Strong written and verbal skills • Proficient in Excel and Access • Vendor Management • Analyze data and prepare regularly scheduled reports using excel.
