We took the emphasis off "disadvantaged" and put it on "people" where it belongs. As one of the oldest and largest non-profit agencies in Arizona, Goodwill of Central Arizona is nationally recognized as the leader in empowering people to achieve their highest level of personal and economic independence. We put people to work by providing job skills training, education and career services to individuals with disadvantaging conditions or vocational barriers. Our philosophy is simple: Provide an environment that empowers people to believe in themselves and gives them skills to be self-sufficient. We offer services that help them succeed at work, achieve their goals and eliminate barriers.

History

Where we're going. Where we've been.

Goodwill of Central Arizona, founded in 1947, is a private, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to serve people with vocational disadvantages or people who would otherwise face obstacles to entering the workforce. Last year, 10,000 people received services at Goodwill and more than 2,300 of them found jobs. We continually look for new ways to serve Arizona’s communities and record numbers of individuals.

Moreover, Goodwill is a distinguished leader in the "Charities You Can Trust" list. This list tells potential donors which organizations provide the most value from the gifts they are given. Furthermore, Goodwill of Central Arizona has received a Three-Year accreditation by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF) for the following:
